冬季海鲜盛宴:探索不一样的味道! winters are an ideal time to indulge in seafood, as many varieties enter a dormant period, resulting in exceptionally flavorful and nutritious dishes. Today, we'll embark on a culinary journey with our beautiful hostess as she showcases the perfect winter seafood feast.
What types of seafood are best for winter?
First and foremost, bivalves such as scallops and clams take center stage during this season. As they slow down their activity levels and reduce nutrient consumption, they become even more succulent and packed with nutrients. This time around, our hostess has chosen two representatives from the bivalve family: scallops and clams.
Of course, it's not just about bivalves; crabs also shine during the winter months. Specifically, snow crab is at its peak during this time – known as the "crab roe" period – when it's rich in microelements and high-quality proteins that provide excellent nourishment for our bodies.
And then there's shrimp! While you can enjoy them any time of the year, there's an added benefit to consuming them in the winter: boosting your immune system while keeping warm. Who wouldn't want that? But remember that while shrimp does offer immunity-boosting properties, it won't cure colds or flu; maintaining good eating habits, staying warm enough indoors or outdoors combined with regular exercise will help prevent these conditions better.

How do we savor each bite of sea delicacies?
With so many ways to prepare seafood - steaming being one popular choice - let alone cooking methods like boiling or grilling which make every dish exquisite - how do we truly capture those original flavors? The answer lies within steaming itself! It preserves both taste buds' pleasure & nutritional value by retaining all those natural essences without losing any of their goodness
We're going beyond simple indulgence here; today we're crafting a "Seafood Ship," using 12 scallops for starters (7 snow crabs), 3 kilos & half kilo of shrimps along with six kilos worth of clams). However since normal steamers won't be able to handle such quantities simultaneously ,we've opted for something bigger than usual-a set comprising oil smoke extractor + gas stove+steam oven! We used its steam oven feature here .It surprised us greatly because so much food fit inside without needing separate containers ;the capacity was indeed impressive
As these twelve sea treasures slowly cook away under hot vapor within my spacious pot ,our beautiful chef friend prepares an additional spicy stir-fry dish using fresh flower clams right before dinner begins .In chilly wintry days like ours why shouldnt people have some spiciness too ?Not only does spicy food stimulate appetite but also aids digestion while promoting blood circulation throughout your body thus making mealtime feel less dull
